Unbelievable to think I have waited this long to share a green juice with you all. I am definitely a smoothie girl and since they are my kids favorite, I’m always making them. I did get a new juicer for the holidays and have made some incredible juices to mix-it up around here.
So, what’s better juicing or blending? You will find different sides to this debate and each one will convince you to switch sides! Honestly, it kind of annoys me. 😉 Well, I love both, and it all depends on my mood or even the time of day. I think it’s important to add both to your weekly repertoire. I always say go with your body and do what works for you. Whether you choose to juice, blend, or both, just know you are doing something wonderful for your mind, body and spirit!
This has been my favorite for the past couple of weeks. If you love green juicing, I bet you will love this combo. It’s probably not even something new to you if you are an avid juicer. But, if you’ve never juiced before – try this one – this is definitely a great place to start.
My two beautiful little babies and I enjoyed it sitting outside yesterday soaking in this beautiful weather we’ve had. My daughter, Lily thought it tasted just like lemonade – even though there is key lime in there – and she loved it. My son, Bodhi kept saying, “More juice Mommy!”. It’s energizing, up-lifting, light and oh so lovely.
Yield: 2 servings
5 stalks kale
Handful of baby spinach
4 brussels sprouts
2 key limes
1 orange, peeled
1″ piece ginger root
Juice all ingredients.
Speaking of smoothies and juices, Kris Carr just released a new e-book Crazy Sexy Juices & Succulent Smoothies. It’s your go-to manual for everything juicing and blending. And guess what you will find in there? One of my very own juices! Yes, I was so excited to get featured in this e-book and the juice I created is outrageously delicious! You will also find answers to all your juicing and blending questions. There are so many wonderful and creative smoothie and juice recipes, it’s a real must buy.
It’s also time for a Blog Hop!
